This Privacy Policy explains how Vamos Enterprises LLC ("Vamos," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Team Vamos mobile application (the "App") and our website at trainvamos.com (together, the "Services").
The Team Vamos App is a private, invite-only communication tool for members of the Vamos competition team and their coaches. You can only access the App with an invite code issued by a Vamos administrator.
Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account details — your full name and, optionally, a profile photo, used to identify you to other members of your team.
- Invite code — the code you enter to join, which links your account to your team and role (member or coach/administrator).
- Messages & attachments — the text messages, photos, videos, and documents you send within team and competition groups.
- Communications with us — information you provide when you contact us for support.
Information collected automatically
- Push notification token — a device identifier provided by Apple so we can deliver notifications about new messages and announcements.
- Basic device & diagnostic data — limited technical information (such as app version and error logs) used to keep the App reliable.
- Usage data — activity needed to operate chat, such as when messages are read or delivered.
How We Use Information
- To provide invite-only access and verify your team and role.
- To deliver real-time messaging, announcements, and file sharing within your groups.
- To send push notifications you have enabled.
- To moderate content and keep the community safe (coaches/administrators can remove members and delete posts).
- To maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Services.
- To comply with legal obligations.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Services, with the following providers:
- Stream (Stream.io, Inc.) — powers the chat, message storage, and attachments. See the Stream Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts our website and the backend service that validates invite codes and issues secure chat tokens. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Apple, Inc. — distributes the App (including via TestFlight) and delivers push notifications through the Apple Push Notification service. See the Apple Privacy Policy.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of our members, or in connection with a business transfer.
Children & Minors
The Team Vamos community may include minors who train and compete with the team. Accounts for minors are created and managed by Vamos administrators at the request of, and with the consent of, a parent or legal guardian. We collect only the information needed for a minor to participate in team communications (name, optional photo, and the messages they send). Parents or guardians may review, update, or request deletion of their child's information at any time by contacting us at the address below.
Data Retention
We retain your account information and messages for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. When your access is removed, or upon a verified deletion request, we delete or de-identify your personal information unless we are required to retain it for legal or security reasons.
Your Choices & Rights
- Access & correction — update your name or profile photo in the App, or contact us for help.
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us.
- Notifications — disable push notifications anytime in your device settings.
- Leaving the team — ask an administrator to remove you, which revokes your access.
Data Security
Access to the App is invite-only and authenticated with secure, server-issued tokens; we never store payment or chat secrets inside the App. Data is encrypted in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App or by email.
